The adjective „open“ – in Italian „aperto“ – summarizes and concentrates the promises and the contradictions of modernity. In Italian, as well as in the English language the adjective has several meanings. The main one, according to the vocabulary of the Italian language of Google, says: allowing the passage or the entrance or communication or just the view in the direction of a wide space abroad.
